Virden Aud Theatre Given Second Act with $350,000 for Restoration Project

The Aud Theatre is a historically designated opera house, constructed in 1911, that boasts outstanding acoustics and classical style. Over the years, it has served as a concert hall, movie theatre, and the social and cultural center we know today. During the past 40 years, the Aud Restoration Committee has donated countless volunteer hours and raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for restoration and improvements to the theatre, but they needed a little help with the replacement of the century-old seating. Virden is home for many Tundra employees, with more than 200 staff living and working in Virden and the surrounding area.
